Survey of Pastors Shows a Drift Away From the Bible 01/09/2012

43 percent of Protestant pastors do not believe the Biblical age of the earth according to a new survey by LifeWay Research.

24 percent believe in evolution rather than the Biblical account, that God created the earth.

24 percent do not believe Adam and Eve literally existed.

Only 36 percent of pastors teach on creation and evolution more than once a year. Twenty-six percent teach on it about once a year, and 29 percent do so rarely, the rest never.
Larger churches tend to have pastors who do not believe in evolution. Only 4 percent of pastors in churches with 250 or more in attendance believe in evolution. While 13 percent in churches with attendance of 0-49 believe that God used evolution to create humans.

This is fulfilling the Bible prophecy that there would be a falling away from the faith before the anti-christ takes over the world: “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed , the son of perdition” (II Thessalonians 2:3).
