Warren calls newpaper article a lie. He is refuring to an article in the Orange County Register Published: Feb. 23, 2012 Updated: March 2, 2012.

Register reporter Jim Hinch wrote, “The Rev. Rick Warren, pastor of Saddleback Church in Lake Forest and one of America's most influential Christian leaders, has embarked on an effort to heal divisions between evangelical Christians and Muslims by partnering with Southern California mosques and proposing a set of theological principles that includes acknowledging that Christians and Muslims worship the same God. The effort, informally dubbed King's Way, caps years of outreach between Warren and Muslims. Warren has broken Ramadan fasts at a Mission Viejo mosque, met Muslim leaders abroad and addressed 8,000 Muslims at a national convention in Washington D.C.”

Pastor Warren has responded in ‘onenewsnow’ saying, “"All three of those statements are flat out wrong," Warren says in theinterview transcript, made available Friday afternoon on Ed Stetzer's LifeWay Research blog. "Those statements were made by a reporter, not by me. I did not say them ... I do not believe them ... I completely disagree with them. The well-known Southern California pastor takes issue strongly with the article's statement that he had agreed "not to evangelize."

The Bible warns about associations with sinners “Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men. Perhaps Warren has been too friendly with Muslims? Jesus Told the Jews they were following a false religion. this is what we must tell Muslims.
