FBI Rescues 79 teens From Prostitution, Arrests 104 Pimps 06/26/2012

“The FBI announced today that its agents, along with local police, rescued 79 teenagers and arrested 104 alleged pimps during a three-day sweep against child sex trafficking in 57 U.S. cities,” reports USA Today. “The juveniles -- 77 girls and two boys between the ages of 13 and 17 -- had been held against their will and were forced into prostitution after their captors allegedly threatened to harm them and their families, the FBI said.”

The Innocence Lost Task Force has rescued 2,200 children and won convictions of 1,017 pimps. They have seized more than $3 million in assets and achieved sentences of 25 years to life sentences for multiple offenders.

"Child prostitution remains a major threat to children across America," said Kevin Perkins, assistant director of the FBI's Criminal, Cyber, Response, and Services Branch. "It is a violent and deplorable crime, and we are working with our partners to disrupt and put behind bars individuals and members of criminal enterprises who would sexually exploit children."

Any sexual activity outside a marriage relationship is wrong, “Thou shalt not commit adultery” (Exodus 20:14).
When it involves sexual abuse of a child it is even more serious, “But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea” (Matthew 18:6).
