Moody Adams North Korea has restarted its nuclear program and issued a stern warning to the United States. She says the refusal of the United States to negotiate could lead to an "uncontrollable catastrophe." North Korea's state-run Rodong Sinmun newspaper has warned America of an "uncontrollable catastrophe." The paper said that in the event of a nuclear conflict North Korea would deal a "merciless punishment" to the United States. "If they, ignorant of their rival, dare provoke a nuclear war, the army and people of the DPRK led by Kim Jong Il, the invincible commander, will rise up to mete out determined and merciless punishment to the U.S. imperialist aggressors with the might of single-hearted unity more powerful than A-bomb," he said.
North Korea's decision to take down monitoring cameras, break seals on its nuclear plants and move the fuel rods breaks North Korea's 1994 treaty with the U.S. North Korea froze its nuclear program in exchange for foreign energy supplies. Now it has restarted her threatening efforts. She has 8,000 used fuel rods that can be reprocessed to get weapons grade plutonium. This would be enough to make several nuclear bombs in addition to the one she is already suspected of having. Long before North Korea started her efforts there were already enough atomic bombs to destroy all life on 50 planets the size of earth. They equal the explosive force of 15 tons of dynamite for every human being on the earth.
Orson Wells dramatized our world of nuclear buildup with these words: "We can make a bonfire of all our works, empty our cities, scrape the living crust off our planet and blast our habitation into a spinning glove of ash."
The Bible prophesies of destruction are coming on this planet and they will be exactly like that of an all out nuclear war.
Revelation 13:13 says, "Fire cometh down from Heaven." Revelation 8:7 says all the grass on earth will be burned up. Revelation 8:9 says all fish will die. Revelation 9:15 says that one third of all humans will die in one hour. Isaiah predicts that "The curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants are burned and few men left." Peter 3:10 says, "The elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up."
There is a strange atomic irony. The atomic bomb gives the world its most vivid assurance of death. At the same time it gives Christians one more vivid assurance they will never die. For the same Bible that predicted the discovery of a power to destroy the world also promises: "I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand" (John 10:28).
