How the Government is Stealing our Money 04/30/2013

". . . We’ve become a nation of thieves, accustomed to living at the expense of one another and to accommodate that we're obliged to support tyrannical and overreaching government” says Walter E. Williams, Ph.D., the John M. Olin Distinguished Professor of Economics at George Mason University in Fairfax, Va.

The biggest thieves in the nation are in Washington. They please their followers by taking money from some and giving it to others. The government is justified in taxing its citizens to provide an army to protect them, schools to teach them, etc. But to take money from a citizen and give it to others is stealing.

Printing dollars, which devalues all the dollars the citizens own is another way of stealing. People still have the dollars, they just can’t purchase as much with them. This is an indirect and effective way of stealing.

Williams concluded his article by writing,“Adolf Hitler had it right when he said,‘How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think.’"
