New: Do Americans Approve of Prostitution? 07/09/2013

It has been labeled "the classic tale of the ex-madam, her former John and the office of comptroller." It is playing out in New York City right now.

Disgraced former New York governor Eliot Spitzer is asking for political forgiveness as he runs for New York comptroller. He is leading in the race.

And who is his opponent? It is Kristin Davis, the woman who ran the prostitution service that Spitzer frequented, responsible for him being put out of office five years ago.

Fifty years ago Spitzer would have become a laughing stock. But since President Clinton survived his sexual scandal, politicians nor the public seem to care.

Strange that the public is willing to trust this man with control of their city's finances.

Sure we should forgive the man. Restoring him to leadership is ridiculous.
