In addition to the curse of flooded streets, devastating winds, dark nights and 35 deaths, hurricane Isabel brought a profitable lesson in humility to our nation's capital.

Sandy Grady, guest writer for USA Today, said, "The humility In addition to the curse of flooded streets, devastating winds, dark nights and 35 deaths, hurricane Isabel brought a profitable lesson in humility to our nation's capital.

Sandy Grady, guest writer for USA Today, said, "The humility came with a wallop of irony in Washington, D.C., which preens itself as The Most Important and Powerful City in the World. After all, it can roll its tanks over a regime nearly 8,000 miles away. It controls enough nukes for 100 Armageddons."

Hurricane Isabel showed us just how frail the most powerful men are when faced with the vastly superior force of nature. This can be profitable.

The Bible says, "Be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble" (I Peter 5:5).

Heaven help Washington and all Americans to get the message that we are merely "frail children of dust, and feeble as frail," who desperately need a mighty Savior.
