Peyton, you Broke my Heart 02/10/2016

Peyton I have always been a big fan of you, your brother and your father, who I pulled for as a Saint. Prior to Superbowl 50, I was thrilled by the ESPN special on the Manning Family. I was amazed by your Cinderella victory in the Superbowl.

Then, before millions of TV viewers you advertised alcohol, diminished Deity and demeaned God’s throne.

In his post-game CBS interview, Manning did not say he was going to drink one or two beers. Manning said, “he planned to "drink a lot of Budweiser tonight. I hope his young admirers were not driving home that night?

Manning diminish Deity by referring to God as the “man” upstairs. The Bible has a stinging rebuke to those who would by referring to Him as a “man”. “ God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” (Numbers 23:19).

“Upstairs” is a demeaning name for God’s heavenly home. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus indicated that we shouldn’t take heaven lightly when He said, “Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God’s throne…” (Matthew 5:34). What a diffence between 10 feet upstairs and heaven.

Certainly this interview please your fans. God, perhaps not.
