As a drunk driver's car jumped the curb and headed toward him, Joseph Richardson grabbed his daughter and held her up high enough to escape the out-of-control car’s impact.

Richardson was walking his 4-year-old daughter to Mcdonald’s for breakfast when the car hit and killed him.

The father of three young children sung in the choirs of two Chicago churches, Cottage Grove Baptist Church and Greater Revelation Missionary Baptist Church, where his father ministers.

Richardson planned to study to become a minister. Now, he never will.

His last act followed in the foot steps of his Lord and Savior, who died saving others.
