by Moody Adams “Well before 8 o'clock on a late April morning, a line of about 30 eager customers forms at a modest bakery in this working-class neighborhood (in Cairo, Egypt). With a global food crisis roiling countries from Asia to the edge of Europe, at least 11 people have been killed recently in such lines here, struggling to get their daily bread” REPORTS USA TODAY’s David J. Lynch.
Twenty percent of Egypt’s 81 million people are below the poverty line. Now that food prices are soaring this has hungry people killing for food.
This marks a clear fulfillment of Jesus’ prophecy, “For ye have the poor always with you,” (Matthew 26:11).
Despite the tremendous improvement in farming and the great farm equipment, man’s genius has failed to solve the problem of poverty. Once again the Bible’s 3,000 prophecies are proving to be accurate forecasts of the future.
