CHINESE CITY TO BECOME WORLD’S BIBLE PRINTING CAPITAL 05/08/2008

By Moody Adams
“In collaboration with the United Bible Societies, Amity Printing Company, China’s only state-approved Christian publisher, will double their annual Bible printing output when the facility opens on May 19,” reports Michelle A. Vu Christian Post Reporter. “In 2007, Amity printed 6 million Bibles, but with the new facility, it has the potential to print up to 12 million per year. In other words, Amity will be producing 23 Bibles every minute.

Christianity flourishes under persecution, declines under prosperity. China now has the fastest growing number of Christians and the largest Bible printing plant despite the many years of persecution by the atheistic Communist government.

Those who worry about media and government disputes with Christian values need to take heart. Persecution awakens the church.
