GOSPEL PERVERT SAYS "JESUS WASN'T GOD NOR A SAVIOR" 06/25/2008

He pretends to be a Christian minister and a Christian scholar, but he is no Christian. Yet, he was a speaker at the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship’s convention.

A Baptist Press report by correspondent David Roach, theologian John Killinger told participants at a June 19 workshop that Jesus wasn't God and He didn't consider Himself to be the Savior of the world. He also said self-realization is the way of salvation, the Gospel of John cannot be taken at face value as an accurate account of Jesus' life, and Daniel “fibbed a lot.”

“Doctrine isn't the driving force to many people today” except “to the fundamentalists who insist on it,” Killinger said. “But doctrine is a thing of the past now religiously.”

Doctrine is what separates us from the pagans and the world’s false religions. They are the Christian beliefs in: The deity of Christ, the accuracy of the Bible, and salvation through the atoning cross of Christ. These are the beliefs that separate us from the atheists and the Muslim terrorists. If doctrine is a thing of the past, then Christianity is a thing of the past, churches are mere social centers, and the thousands of martyrs died for nothing.

The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship’s defense was they were just presenting many different views. They allowed John Killinger to teach his views and hold a book signing that promoted those views. There was no one presenting the true Bible believing views to the convention.

Killinger is a Gospel “pervert” according to the Bible: “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.” (Galatians 1:6,7)
