NEWS FROM ISRAEL: END DRAWING NEAR “World public opinion is Israel’s number one foreign policy problem,” Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said.
Zechariah 14:2,3 reminds us, “For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. … And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, So one sign of the Lord’s return to earth is solidification of world opinion against Jerusalem.
Ido Aharoni, head of the Foreign Ministry’s Branding Israel Project, express similar sentiments. “We carried out a series of studies in Europe and the US and tried to understand how Israel was branded in the eyes of the world,” he said. “We discovered that the Arabs, our competitors, have succeeded in … creating an identity for us, which has a very tenuous link to reality.”
