by Moody Adams “Haitians piled bodies along the devastated streets of their capital Wednesday after the strongest earthquake in more than 200 years to hit the Caribbean island crushed thousands of structures, from schools and shacks to the National Palace and the U.N. peacekeeping headquarters,” reports Daniel Morel, AFP.
"Parliament has collapsed. The tax office has collapsed. Schools have collapsed. Hospitals have collapsed," Haiti President Rene Preval told The Miami Herald.
The Christian ministry, World Vision, already had 400 people working in Haiti, the poorest country in this hemisphere.
Jesus said we would always have the poor with us and that earthquakes would mark the last days. So it is.
