The House voted overwhelmingly to defund Planned Parenthood, but the Senate supported it for now. These abortionists are losing ground in popular support. There are several reasons.
Abortion targets the minorities. Between 1973 and 2004, roughly 15 million blacks were aborted, which means that nearly 30% of the black population had been lost to abortion by 2004! The rate is 11 abortions per 1,000 white women, 28 for every 1,000 Hispanic women and 50 for every 1,000 black women.
Sonograms have convinced many pregnant girls this is not just some little piece of flesh, but a living human being.
Abortion is a big money-making racket. While Planned Parenthood touts all of the non-abortion services it provides for women, there is no denying that they are in the abortion business. In 2009, Planned Parenthood performed 332,278 abortions and received 37% of their funds from abortions. This is a multi-billion dollar industry that literally thrives on the destruction of unborn babies and the traumatizing of young pregnant women.
