“It’s Christian vs. Atheist in a new thriller released Friday. The Ledge is at the beginning of a movement toward more open discussion of atheism and agnosticism,” says Matthew Chapman, the story’s writer.

There’s a lot to excite the Houston Atheists. “I'm just excited that it's going to be showing an atheist in a positive light,” says Staise Gonzalez.

“People of faith, especially Catholics, are used to being trashed by Hollywood,” said Bill Donohue, the organization’s (Catholic League) president. “But they are not accustomed to films that promote atheism."

The Bible is clear; the atheist not only has a spiritual problem. He also has a mental problem. “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God” (Psalm 14:1). Anyone who can look at the vast universe, the human brain and the human eye and say this was created without some supreme intelligence puts himself in the category of “fools.”
