A discovery in a sealed tomb near Jerusalem in 1945 gave strong evidence that Jesus rose from the dead. Inside the sealed tomb they found markings of several crosses, coins that dated the burial about 20 years after Jesus crucifixion and writings that showed the family believed Jesus had the power to raise the dead.
One wrote, “Jesus, Let Him Arise,” demonstrating their belief in the resurrection.
The grave had safely remained sealed until the archeologist found it because in Biblical times tampering with a grave required the death penalty.
This is strong evidence the early Christians believed in Jesus’ victory over death.
