by Moody Adams The U.S. State Department has issued a statement condemning the "hypocrisy" of Iran, which while publicly proclaiming its tolerance for human rights, in practice has condemned to death a Christian pastor because of his faith” writes Bob Unruh of WND.
Victoria Nuland, the Department Spokesperson, Office of the Spokesperson, Washington DC wrote, “We are dismayed over reports that the Iranian courts are requiring Youcef Nadarkhani to recant his Christian faith or face the death penalty for apostasy – a charge based on his religious beliefs.”
Youcef is just one of thousands who could face death on apostasy charges, including Christians, leaders of the imprisonment was increased to 20 years for practicing their faith and hundreds of Sufis who have been flogged in public because of their non-Islamic beliefs.
Martyrs are dying around the world because they will not abandon their faith In Jesus Christ. What an example they are setting for Western Christians, who have it so easy.
