The average score was 16 correct (50%), writes Cathy Lynn Grossman in USA Today. “The top scoring groups were atheists/agnostics, Jews and Mormons. . . . Just 55% of all respondents knew the Golden Rule isn't one of the Ten Commandments; 45% could name all four Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John).”
2 Timothy 2:15 tells us to , “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
Perhaps too many churches are becoming social centers and entertainment centers, instead of learning centers. And perhaps too many people are sleeping through the sermons.
