AMERICA DOES NOT HAVE A FINANCIAL PROBLEM, BUT A MORAL PROBLEM 07/20/2011

In all the battling over the budget America is losing sight of the fact that this is not a financial problem, but a moral problem.

The American people want more than they can afford, and where do they turn when they max out their credit cards? To the Government! And here is the deal, if the government will borrow the money they cannot personally borrow and give it to them, they will in turn vote for the man who will give them the things they want.

Without enough money to do this the government either has to increase taxes, borrow the money or print it.

• If they increase taxes on those who have worked and earned more than others, they are engaged in stealing; taking money out of one man’s pocket and giving it to another man.

• If they borrow it, it piles more and more debt on the children cursed by greedy parents with astronomical debt.

• If they print it they devalue all salaries and all savings, which is a disguised form of stealing. If they do not do these things they will get voted out of office.

Until the American people repent of their personal greed, there is no solution to this problem.

As the weeping prophet Jeremiah declared, "From the least to the greatest, all are greedy for gain; prophets and priests alike, all practice deceit” (Jeremiah 6:13).

Greed made the list of the historic “Seven Deadly Sins,” that lead to all sin. It has certainly led to all of America’s so called “financial problems."
