“One of the strongest earthquakes to strike the U.S. East Coast in decades rocked buildings as far as North Carolina and Canada on early Tuesday afternoon, seismologists said, causing damage to buildings and a number of injuries.” (Internet News).

It did not come where it was expected—in California for instance. It came on the East coast.

“And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows” (Matthew 24:6-8).

“Divers” means several; various; sundry.

Earthquakes registering 6 or more on the Richter Scale are increasing:
• Between 1897 and 1946; 3 every 10 years
• Between 1946 and 1956; the rate went to seven
• Between 1956 and 1966; the rate grew to 17
• By the 1967 to 1976 period the number had swelled to an unbelievable 180!

This means the end of the world is not here now. It means this is the beginning of sorrows that lead to the end.
