Teen Sexually Transmitted Disease Rates Rise, Despite High Condom Use 07/16/2012

The Center for Disease Control (CDC) reports:

-- There are 19 million new Sexually Transmitted Disease infections in the US each year.

-- Girls aged 15-19 have the highest rates of gonorrhea compared to every other demographic group.

-- Every year, 24,000 women in the US become infertile due to an untreated STD.

The rate continues to grow despite condom use increasing from 46 to 63 percent in 12 years.
